Police Search for Nail Salon Robbery Suspect

PHILADELPHIA--(WTXF)--Northwest Detective Division is asking for the public's assistance to identify and locate the suspect who allegedly robbed Rockland Nails in the city's Logan section.

On Sunday, September 27th at 5:50 pm, an unknown male entered Rockland Nails located 1341 Rockland Street while four employees were working inside and asked for a manicure. according to police.

Police say when the manicure was complete the worker told the suspect the cost of the service the suspect pulled what appeared to be a sawed-off shotgun demanding money. According to police, after taking an unknown amount of money from the cash register drawers, the suspect fled the store and was last seen east on Rockland Street. There were no reported injuries reported during this incident.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 30-40 years-of-age, stocky build, medium brown complexion, 6'0", salt/pepper beard. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, and a dark colored baseball hat, dark colored pants, and black/white.
