Police: Sellersville man confesses to killing neighbor

Sellersville, Pa. (WTXF) Police say a Sellersville man has confessed to killing his neighbor.

I'm a little shocked actually," said Brian Dunning. He's one of several neighbors who came out their Sellersville apartment to news of a brutal crime scene right in their building. Police say 34-year-old Damien Walker killed his 62-year-old neighbor inside her apartment.

"I've spoken with Damien many times. He's always nice, always pleasant, happy and helpful. I didn't expect it at all," said Dunning.

According to the Bucks County District Attorney's office, Tuesday night Walker went to the Norristown Police Department and told them he'd killed his neighbor. Police say he told them he had been using meth. They went to the apartment and found the woman dead.

"There was a crime scene van out there and lights flashing in my room. I couldn't get no sleep. Just a lot of cops," said Richard White who lives a floor above where it happened.

"It's very surprising out here because it's a very quiet neighborhood and I've seen him outside. He's a very nice, very good guy. He's nice to all of his neighbors," said White. Neighbors say both the victim and suspect were cordial to each other in the past.

Police have not said what happened in the moments leading up to the murder or how the woman was killed.

"I have no clue just thinking about it," said White.

Police have not released the victim's name. The suspect is being held without bail.
