Police: Teenager robbed at gunpoint in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP/WTXF) -- New Castle County Police are looking for a man who robbed a teenager at gunpoint.

It happened about 7:20 p.m. Thursday at Briarcliff Drive and Aquilla Drive, the department said in a news release.

Police say a 17-year-old was walking home when a man with a handgun confronted him. Officers say the man demanded the youth's belongs, and ran away after receiving them. The stolen items were later located by the victim in the area of the Wawa, according to police.

Numerous County Police units and a police K9 searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate the suspect. He is described as a black male being about 6'05" tall, wearing a black hoody and black puffy jacket.
