Police: Uber driver shoots, kills armed robber
(FOX NEWS)- Florida police say that an Uber driver shot and killed a person who tried to rob him on Sunday morning.
According to Aventura Police, the incident happened as the driver was taking a passenger to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The Uber driver was cut off on the William Lehman Causeway by a Dodge Caravan with two people inside. According to police, one man exited the minivan holding two guns and pointed them at the driver.
The Uber driver, who has a license to carry a firearm, shot and killed the would-be robber, and the second man in the minivan drove off.
