Puppy left paralyzed after being thrown from moving car

A six-week-old puppy was left paralyzed after being thrown from a moving vehicle and left to fend for herself on the side of the road.

The puppy, named Banky, is now on the road to recovery thanks to Second Chance Rescue.

The rescue shared photos of the puppy, writing, "She is paralyzed, she has a hard tumor or abscess on her belly, covered in fleas and clearly can't get up. She is a hot mess with mange as well."

Banky appeared to have no spinal damage, according to the rescue, but needed an MRI scan and an operation for a hernia as of April 11.

At time of writing, Banky's condition was reported as stable.
