NORRISTOWN, PA (WTXF) - There will be no parole for the former University of Pennsylvania economics professor in prison for killing his wife. Rafael Robb will have to serve the rest of his ten-year sentence.
Montgomery County district attorney Kevin Steele announced Monday that the parole board refused Robb’s early release. Prosecutors had urged the parole board to deny the request.
In 2007, Robb pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in connection to the beating death of his wife Ellen, the year before, in their Upper Merion home.
Robb is scheduled to be released next year. Then, he’ll serve ten years of supervised probation.
