RECALL: A frozen microwavable dinner has been recalled for Salmonella

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has sent a recall alert for food sold in the Pennsylvania area.

The department says the whey powder found in the individual frozen microwavable dinners with "Hungry Man Chipotle BBQ Sauced Boneless Chicken Wyngz" may contain salmonella.

The problem was discovered on Tuesday when a ranch dressing seasoning used in the boneless chicken dinner was recalled by the food supplier.

The products were also shipped to retail locations in Massachusetts and Virginia in addition to Pennsylvania. Officials say to avoid the dinners with the printed "best buy date" with the date 9/6/19.

There have been no confirmed reports of illness due to the consumption of these products at this time. Anyone with concerns about any illness should contact a health care provider.
