Reward for 8-year-old's killer doubled to $50,000

- A heartbroken community gathered to remember young Gabby Carter and now, the reward for her killer’s capture has more than doubled to $50,000 thanks to a private donation.

Gabby, 8, died Friday, two days after she was caught in gang-related crossfire. Gabby was shot in the head while riding her bike, across the street from her Camden home.

Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said the gunfire broke out when several men opened fire on an intended target.

Then, the men jumped into a car and escaped. Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the area.

Family members prayed and called for justice.

They lit candles and remembered the little girl who loved to sing and read.

They're asking anyone who can help find Gabby's killer to come forward.

Police had previously offered a $24,000 reward.
