PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles have traded defensive end Michael Bennett and a seventh round draft pick to the New England Patriots in exchange for a fifth round draft pick.
If the Michael Bennett-to-New-England trade is finalized - and it is expected to be - Patriots and Eagles will swap 5th- and 7th-round picks in the 2020 draft, per a league source.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 8, 2019
Eagles get a 5th; Pats get Bennett and a 7th.
Bennett, who will make $7.2 million in 2019, was believed to be on the trading block after refusing to take a paycut from the Eagles.
With fellow defensive ends Brandon Graham resigned and Derek Barnett set to return from injury, Bennett became the odd man out in Philadelphia.
