Residents at nursing home in Glenside relocated after pipe burst

Residents at the Fairview Care Center on Paper Mill Road were relocated Monday after a pipe burst, causing flooding.

The center is currently using a generator to supply power to the building.

A spokesperson said due to the cold temperatures and in an abundance of caution, they have decided to relocate all of the patients and residents to other area skilled nursing centers.

The nursing home houses 108 patients and residents.

According to the spokesperson, they are currently notifying all family members in advance of the move and will keep them updated when their loved one is safely settled at the new location.
