Road conditions after Saturday snowfall

Saturday's snow fall continued for some into the morning causing messy road condition for drivers.

Fox 29's Jenni Joyce is out on the roads and has the story.

Snow, sleet, slush-covered roadways were packed with plows and salt trucks Saturday morning to help drivers maneuver the messy streets.

PennDOT says it was prepared for the blast of winter weather. They used 336 plows overnight to salt roadways and clear the path for drivers.

Officials say they are ready for winter.

PennDOT has 122,000 tons of salt on standby for the season. The winter budget is $26.2 million.
