Search on for deadly hit and run driver in Center City

CENTER CITY (WTXF) - A 53-year-old woman was killed by a hit and run driver while crossing a Center City street, overnight. Now, police are looking for the driver and vehicle involved.

They say it happened at about 3:20 a.m. on the 1300 block of Race Street.

Ann P. Broderick of Kensington was crossing when the white, newer model Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, heading eastbound, struck her in the middle of the road and the driver kept going.

Broderick was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead, about 30 minutes later.

Police say the Jeep has four doors, a white hard top, black wheel wells, white top large tires, and a spare tire attached the rear of the vehicle. It may have right front-end damage.
