Police search for clues in Northern Liberties shooting

Police are trying to piece together what happened after gunfire rang out in Northern Liberties Monday night.

As police removed two vehicles struck by gunfire from Delilah's parking lot Tuesday night, Nick Dallas was remembering the sound of gunfire he heard Monday evening.

"The first thing I thought was somebody's shooting," Dallas told FOX 29.

That gunfire turned out to be shots police believe may have been fired by a sniper from a fifth floor window across Spring Garden Street into the parking lot at Delilah's gentlemen's club.

The shots hit a white Chevy pickup and a jeep parked nearby as a female employee from the gentleman's club was approaching the vehicles. She quickly ran back inside.

"At this point, we don't know whether she was the intended target of the shooting," Captain Kinebrew said.

Crime scene investigators checked out the window where the gunman may have opened fire from with a high powered rifle. One shot went right through the pickup's front fender and into the engine block from about 100 yards away.

Sources say investigators are checking out video from a camera that may show a man climb the steps and go through a hatch to the roof on top of Delilah's.

They're trying to determine if the gunman may have been looking for a closer spot to shoot from before choosing the building across the street to take his shot.

No one was injured by the gunfire. Police have grainy surveillance video of one of the suspects and a vehicle seen near the shooting.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made.
