Secretary accused of having sexual relationships with students at Crest High School

A high school secretary is facing charges after authorities say she had sexual relationships with multiple students.

A mother of a student who attends Crest High School in Cleveland County told investigators she received anonymous calls congratulating her on being a grandmother, according to a press release from Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.

The mother said she had previously noticed cell phone pictures and text messages from a secretary at the school that she felt was inappropriate.

After speaking with friends who knew the school secretary, the mother learned the secretary was pregnant, the release stated.

Investigators were able to talk with the secretary and student and both admitted to having a sexual relationship over the last two months. Investigators later learned the secretary had a sexual relationship with another student that attended Crest High School.

Laura Marie Bowling has been charged with five counts of sexual activity with a student. Her bond has been set at $50,000.

The investigation is ongoing as investigators review cell phone data and talk with other students.
