Severe Thunderstorm Warning over but storms remain

The National Weather Service's Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Montgomery, Chester, Philadelphia and Delaware counties ended at 2 p.m. but although it expired, strong thunderstorms are popping up around southeastern Montgomery, northwestern Philadelphia and northeastern Delaware counties.

The weather service reported at 1:08 p.m., a strong thunderstorm was located over Chestnut Hill, moving east at 10 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and small hail are possible with this storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. If you see lightning or hear thunder seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Locations impacted include Philadelphia, Norristown, West Norriton, East Norriton, Conshohocken, Ambler, Jenkintown, Narberth, Morris Park, Germantown, Center City, Bryn Mawr, Plymouth Meeting, Kensington, Roxborough, Chestnut Hill, Drexel Hill, King of Prussia, Radnor Township and Horsham.
