Special local pool named after former VP Joe Biden

WILMINGTON, Del. (WTXF) - Former Vice President Joe Biden made a special visit to Delaware.

Monday, Wilmington city leaders dedicated a pool facility to the VP at Brown Burton Winchester Park.

Biden was a lifeguard at that very pool after the race riots in Wilmington.

He was the only white lifeguard there during that time, and said that experience shaped who he was, and informed his career of public service.
