Squish the flamingo chick loves to strut around in his blue booties

For over two months, animal carers at the Wildlife Reserves Singapore have been nurturing an abandoned greater flamingo chick who they affectionately named Squish.

Squish was abandoned as an egg by his family when wildlife staff found him, said a press release. Since hatching, employees of the wildlife reserve have been feeding the chick a special formula that resembles flamingo's milk. The carers also fashioned Squish a pair of blue booties so he wouldn't hurt his feet on the hard ground.

In the video, the young flamingo chick is seen walking around with his booties and one of his carers as he exercises for the day.
