Steven Seagal accusers detail rape, sexual assault allegations against actor

"There was nothing consensual about this," actress Regina Simons said at a press conference on Monday as she painfully remembered the moment when she said actor Steven Seagal raped her at a Beverly Hills home.

"I was completely caught off guard," Simons, who was just 17 years old at the time, said. "Seagal was more than twice my size and twice my age. I was not sexually active, nor had I ever been naked in front of a man before."

Simons was one of two women accusing Seagal of sexual assault alongside their attorney Lisa Bloom.

Faviola Dadis, a formal model, said the actor grouped her at a hotel room when she was 17 years old.

"Steven approached me and said that he would like to act out a romantic scene to get a sense of our chemistry," Dadis said. "Instead of respecting my boundaries Steven slipped his hand underneath my bikini top."

Both women said they were too scared to come forward with their stories because of Seagal's celebrity status as an action hero in the 1980s and 1990s.

"I was terrified to report the incident to the police because I felt if I did so my career would be over," Dadis said.

Years later and inspired by the "Me Too" and "Time's Up" movements both women decided to speak up.

About a dozen others including Jenny McCarthy and Portia de Rossi have also accused Seagal of sexual harassment.

In a Facebook post from January 2018, Seagal's defense team wrote, "Mr. Seagal is innocent. All of the accusations against him are false."

Simons and Dadis have reported their stories to the Los Angeles Police Department, which currently has an open investigation on Seagal stemming from another 2005 case.

"The three of us stand ready, willing and able to fully cooperate with that criminal investigation," Bloom said.
