Teen killed after he was shot in chest, face at close range

A teenager was gunned down in Cobbs Creek overnight and police are searching for at least one gunman they say was wearing a mask.

The shooting happened at about 12:15am at Market and N. 60th streets. The 17-year-old had been shot in the chest and face.

Police said spent shell casings from a small caliber and also a larger caliber were found, so at least two semiautomatic weapons were used.

Also, many shell casings were found near where the victim collapsed, so the gunman probably shot from close range.

Medics rushed the victim to the hospital, but he died a short time later.

Witnesses say the shooter sped away in a white SUV.
