Teen boys, 16, charged with murder, attempted murder

Two 16-year-olds are charged with shooting a woman to death and wounding a man nearby, on the same night in September.

Wilmington police said they found the first victim -- Keshall Anderson, 19 -- in the 200 block of W. 20th Street, back on Sept. 18. She'd been shot in her back.

Later, police say officers found a second shooting victim a block away. The 19-year-old man had been hit in his left leg and buttocks areas, and was treated.

Investigators developed Abdullah Brown and Deonta Carney as suspects. Arrest warrants were issued, and the two were indicted on Monday.

Brown and Carney are charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, conspiracy, and two counts each of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.

Brown and Carney are each being held at the New Castle County Detention Center on $1 million cash bail.
