Texas man fights cancer long enough to marry fiancee

A Texas man got his dying wish last week.

Raul Hinojosa, known by his family and friends as Tiny, wanted one last thing before he passed from his leukemia: to marry his fiancee, Yvonne Lamas.

On December 9, their families dropped everything. They got Yvonne a dress, and made the wedding happen at Tiny's bedside in a Amarillo, Texas hospital.

Tiny passed away the next day, only 36 hours later.

Lamas said that Hinojosa proposed in 2007, but they had been waiting to marry.

"He was determined to give me the best fairytale wedding," Lamas said. "He tried saving up, but within that time he ended up getting diagnosed with the leukemia."
