Toddler killed in road rage shooting while out with grandma

(Inside Edition)--A 3-year-old boy was reportedly killed in a road rage shooting after a man was angered that the boy's grandma was driving too slowly, according to reports.

The toddler and his grandma were reportedly on the way to the mall on Saturday night in Little Rock, Arkansas, when a driver, apparently mad that the grandma "wasn't moving fast enough," stepped out of his car and opened fire, police said

The boy was struck by gunfire at least once, they said.

The grandma, who wasn't struck, drove away and called police from a nearby shopping center, according to reports. The boy was taken to the hospital but then died.

Police Lt. Steve McClanahan said investigators believe the boy and his grandmother "were completely innocent" and have no relationship with Saturday's shooter, who was being sought.

Police said they were looking for an older black Chevrolet Impala that was being driven by a tall black man.

Another child, a 2-year-old girl, was shot in a road rage incident in the area last month when a car drove by and shot into the vehicle she was in, but the shooter was never caught.

Police said it is unclear whether the shootings are related.
