Touching video of dad and son at skate park goes viral

Sacramento, CA (WTXF) A video of a father helping his son at a skate park has gone viral.

According to Buzzfeed, 8-year-old Atticus Edmunds has cerebral palsy. The young boy was born at 27 weeks after his mother developed a complication called HELLP syndrome.

The video shows off just how much the parents are making sure that their little boy gets to live life to the fullest. Atticus's mother, Tresa Edmunds, explained that she had seen a video of another dad pushing his son in a wheelchair at the skate park and knew that they should give it a try.

Atticus seemed to love every minute of it. Showing off his excitement by exclaiming that it was fantastic when his parents asked him how it went.

The original video was posted on Tresa Edmund's blog, and has received a lot of positive feedback. Teresa told BuzzFeed, her goal is to be an inspiration to others.

"I hope that people can see this joy and recognize that he's a kid like any other, and so are all the other kids who have disabilities. But what I really hope is that another kid like Atticus and another parent like me will see it and find hope and inspiration," she told the website.

The family says the support they have received has been a blessing.
