1 killed, 2 injured after car collides with trolley in Northern Liberties

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A trolley collided with a car on the 400 block of West Girard Avenue in Northern Liberties.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say a 36-year-old woman was driving a Chevy Prism with two young children inside. According to police, the driver was pronounced dead on the scene. An infant suffered minor injuries and was taken to Hahnemann Hospital and placed in stable condition. The other child, believed to be 3-4 years old, had scratches and a possible concussion. Her condition is unknown at this time.

There were no injuries to passengers on the trolley.

A shuttle bus is being provided from Front Street to 26 Street.
