School bus and vehicle collide in Burlington County

BURLINGTON, NJ (WTXF) Authorities were on the scene of a school bus accident on Route 130 Northbound in the area of Keim Boulevard in Burlington County, New Jersey.

The accident happened around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say when responding officers arrived, it was found that two children, an 11-year-old male and his 15- year-old sister, were on the bus and appeared to escape unharmed. The school bus driver, a 48-year- old female, from Pennsauken, NJ, had a complaint of pain.

According to police, the two juveniles were transported to Lourdes Medical Center, Willingboro Campus, as a precautionary and the school bus driver was transported to Memorial Hospital of Burlington County in Mount Holly, NJ, for evaluation.

The other driver, a 49-year-old male, from Pemberton, NJ, was also transported to Memorial Hospital of Burlington County in Mount Holly for evaluation.

Police say the school bus belonged to the Cinnaminson Township School District. Representatives arrived on scene to work with police officers to ensure parents were notified along with the removal of the bus from the roadway. The City of Burlington Police Department's School Resource Officer also responded to assist with the students.
