VIDEO: Man Sought For Attempted Murder of PA Officer

- Police in Central Pennsylvania are looking to track down a man for attempted murder, after they say opened fire on an officer at point blank range.

The Northern York County Regional Police Department posted dash cam video on their Facebook page Wednesday showing the November 22nd incident.

The Northern York County Regional Police Department is releasing the dash cam video that captured the attempted homicide of Officer Lynn Anderson by Trev Bowies Jackson on Sunday November 22, 2015. The release of this video is to aid in locating Trev Bowies Jackson. Jackson is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous.Jackson has a wounded left hand and the hand may still be bandaged.The manhunt for Jackson continues and anyone found to be assisting Jackson will be charged to the fullest extent of the law.Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers has posted up to $5000.00 in reward money for information leading to the capture of Jackson.If you know where Trev Bowies Jackson can be located, or if you have seen him since November 22, 2015 please call PA Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4-PA-TIPS. Police say Trev Bowies Jackson opened fire on Officer Lynn Anderson during a traffic stop that night.

Dashcam video shows Jackson following instructions to step out of his vehicle before he turns around and points his gun at the head of Officer Anderson, firing off several rounds.

Officer Anderson managed to stumble away from the gunfire, and only sustained minor injuries to his face. He has since returned to duty.

Police continue to search for Jackson, who is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Investigators warned that anyone found to be assisting Jackson would be charged to the "fullest extent of the law."

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers has posted a $5,000 reward for information leading to Jackson's capture.

Anyone with information on Jackson's whereabouts is  asked to contact PA Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4-PA-TIPS.
