VP, VP nominee's wives headed to Phoenixville after CCP speeches

Our nation's second lady and the woman who may be our next one are in town. They wrapped up speeches at Community College of Philadelphia and are headed to Phoenixville to speak again, later in the afternoon.

Second lady, of course, is the informal title for the wife of the Vice President.

Dr. Jill Biden and Anne Holton, wife of Tim Kaine and former Virginia Secretary of Education, are taking part in Women Vote events.

At CCP, they outlined Hillary Clinton and Kaine's "vision of an America that is stronger together, with an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top."

They urged voters to visit this Democratic National Committee site to check their registration status and make their voices are heard.

Dr. Biden mentioned her Philadelphia-area upbringing and Ms. Holton talked about her father, A. Linwood Holton Jr., a Republican Virginia governor who supported desegregation.

In Phoenixville, doors at the Phoenixville Foundry, 2 N. Main Street, opened at 1:45pm.
