WATCH: Police officer narrowly escapes being hit by her own car

Terrifying moments for a police officer when she was almost hit by her own squad car and the whole thing was caught on her dashcam.

Monday, the officer from Hudson, Wisconsin, had stopped to help the driver of a disabled vehicle on the Minnesota side of the I-94 bridge that separates the states.

That's when her car was violently rear-ended by a passing pickup truck at highway speed, and the officer narrowly avoided being crushed by her own vehicle.

The cruiser and disabled vehicle were in the left lane. The force of the crash actually moved the squad car completely across, to the right side of the highway.

Miraculously, no one was injured.

Hudson police put on their Facebook page something we should all remember: "Please remember to slow down and move over when you see an emergency vehicle with its emergency lights on."
