Police issue arrest warrant for man wanted in store robberies

Philadelphia police say they have issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted for multiple store robberies.

According to police, they are looking for 30-year-old Donte Hyman who has a last known address on the 5400 block of Walnut Street in Philadelphia, Pa.

Philadelphia police say at 7:30 a.m., the alleged robber went into the K&S Super Store in the 5200 block of Market Street, pointed a gun at the 63-year-old woman working there, and demanded money.

She gave him an undisclosed amount of money and two packs of cigarettes, and he took off in an unknown direction, according to police.

Very soon after, at 7:38 a.m., police say he entered the Walnut Block Grocery store in the 5400 block of Walnut Street. Police say he approached an employee, pointed a handgun at the 29-year-old man, and stated, "Give me everything or I'm shooting."

Turned out, the employee has a valid concealed weapons permit. He pulled out his own gun, and the video shows him chasing the attempted robber out of the store in an unknown direction.

Nothing was taken during this incident.
