WATCH suspected burglar wore a yellow safety vest, got away

Surveillance cameras were rolling when police say two men - including one wearing a yellow safety vest that may have caused witnesses to think he was a worker - broke into a South Philadelphia home.

It happened midday back on June 23, but the video was just released Monday.

Police say a white Ford van circled the victim's home in the 500 block of Greenwich Street several times.

Then, the first suspect, who was wearing a yellow safety vest, walked past the home several times.

Eventually, police say he and the burglar forced the front door open and got inside.

In two entries, they took two watches, a MacBook Pro and clothing before getting away.

If you recognize them or know where they are, you're asked to call 215-686-TIPS (8477), text a tip to PPDTIP (773847), or click here to submit a tip anonymously. Police say all tips will be confidential.
