WATCH: Theft suspect scales fence, falls after rope snags

BENSALEM, PA (WTXF) - Police in Bensalem are looking to identify a man who was caught on tape in the midst of a clumsy attempt to steal two drills from a local store.

Video from the August 10 incident shows the suspect outside the garden center of a Home Depot Store on Bristol Pike.

Prior to the video, police say the suspect went into the store and grabbed 2 Dewalt Drills from the display. Then, the suspect walked into the garden center, tied both drills to a rope, and threw the other end of the rope over the fence.

Surveillance video shows the man trying to pull the drills over the fence, and undergoing a considerable amount of trouble in the process.

The rope appears to snag on the fence, and the man climbs back up the fence to un-snag it before he falls several feet to the ground.

Eventually, the suspect was able to get the drills over the fence, and police say he fled in an older white Chrysler Sebring with a white convertible top.
