Wilmington Police make quick arrests after attempted murder

Police have arrested two suspects who they say was involved in an attempted murder in Wilmington.

The incident happened on Thursday just after 9:00 p.m. on the 600 Block of West 8th Street.

Police say officers arrived on the scene to find a victim suffering from several gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

Within hours of the investigation, officials identified 25-year-old Maurice Williams and 24-year-old Parrish Brown as the two shooter suspects.

Wilmington Police arrested Williams in the 2500 Block of Thatcher Street without incident, and Brown was arrested in the 3400 Block of Market Street without incident as well.

Both suspects were charged with attempted murder 1st degree, possession of deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and other related charges.
