North Wales, Pa. (WTXF) A woman is accused of killing her ex-husband inside a home in North Wales.
"It's horrible because that doesn't happen in a neighborhood like this," said one woman.
Neighbors are stunned to hear that 63-year-old Hsiu-Chin Lin is charged with killing her ex-husband 67-year- old Chien-Kuo Lin.
It happened Sunday afternoon inside the home where the woman lives on South 6th Street in North Wales.
"It's upsetting," said Kim Dallinga who lives in the corner home next to where it happened. "I was just sitting on the couch feeding my daughter and I heard four or five just really loud gun shots just one after another," she said.
North Wales Borough Police say the victim called them around 3 o’clock to standby while he picked up some things from his ex-wife's house.
An officer stayed for about 30 minutes until the victim finished removing his things but according to a police document a half hour later they were called back to the home for a domestic disturbance. That's when they say they found the ex-wife sitting at the kitchen table with a 38-caliber Revolver in front of her. They found the victim in the garage shot in the chest.
"I feel bad for her because I don't know if she was not in her right state of mind or what," said Jaclyn Polacek who lives nearby.
Police say a 33-year-old son was home when it happened and told them his mother repeatedly said she was going to kill his father.
Police also say she told the same thing to her daughter who she spoke to over the phone. The couple's son allegedly told police his mother had been test firing a gun in their backyard during the week leading up to the murder.
Dallinga says she and her husband heard what sounded like gunshots Tuesday but didn't know where they were coming from and they called police.
"We had heard that. We didn't know what it was. It was being planned. That's really crazy," said Dallinga.
Lin is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail. She has a preliminary hearing June 1st.
