Police: Woman throws mulch at Upper Darby police station

Police say they arrested a drunk woman who threw mulch at the Upper Darby police station.

"You can see the cameras. We have 2 cameras," said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood.

What is not clear is if the woman in the surveillance video saw all the cameras surrounding the building or if she cared as police say she left a nearby bar Monday morning.

"You can see she's drunk," Superintendent Chitwood added.

She appears to be searching the freshly appointed grounds at the entrance.

"She heaves the mulch at the front door, don't ask me why. I mean, she was drunk," Superintendent explains.

Chitwood says the guard watching through the door alerted officers as the woman continued walking east on West Chester Pike.

"She's sky-high and she wants to fight the cops," Superintendent Chitwood says.

Chitwood says they had no choice, but to arrest 26-year-old Keyanah Orr, of South Philadelphia.

"Probably cops would have written her a citation, but she wanted to fight and that exacerbated it to the point of no return," Superintendent Chitwood stated.

That tossed handful of mulch has led to Orr sitting in the county lockup on $100,000 bail.

"I would assume she's sober now. She's absolutely sober now," Chitwood added.
