Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Wilmington Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that left a 25-year-old woman dead and injured two others.

Police responded to a residence in the 400 block of W. 7th Street around 2 p.m. Monday. Police say they found a 25-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds to her upper torso and 4-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound to her legs.

The 4-year-old victim was immediately transported to the Wilmington Emergency Room by assisting officers. The 25-year-old female victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room where she was pronounced deceased. A third victim, a 51-year-old female, was transported via personal vehicle to the Wilmington Hospital and was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound to her left leg area.

The shooting remains under investigation.
