Man charged in beating death of Pitman, New Jersey woman

Police have released a statement charging accused 33-year-old Daniel Brennan with first and third degree murder, criminal restraint, theft, among other charges in the death of 31-year-old Leann Foltrauer in Pitman, NJ.

Brennan was arrested in Mt. Ephraim and taken to Salem County jail.

Leann Foltrauer was found dead inside her Boulevard Avenue home after police made a welfare check there Wednesday afternoon.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office says the 31-year-old was killed by multiple blunt force trauma injuries to her head.

"Everybody was out and seeing if there could be anything done and nothing so we're just all very filled with sadness today," said Foltrauer's neighbor Terri Brown.

Neighbors say someone, possibly an agency, came for the victim's kids just days before her murder. They can't help but think about those children now.

"They kept to themselves. Said hello as neighbors and knew the children so I feel very sad for them. The three little ones, two little girls and a little boy and so they've lost their mom," says Brown
