Woman's body found in Wilmington recycling bin

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Wilmington police are investigating a suspicious death after a woman was found dead inside a recycling bin in Wilmington.

According to a statement issued by the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded Wednesday afternoon to a call regarding a possible suspicious death investigation. Sgt. Andrea Janvier says when officers reached the location they found an unidentified body in a recycling bin. 

Police have identified the victim as 21-year-old Miprecious L. Hoskins . It's unclear how long the body had been in the dumpster.

Police say Hoskins died from multiple gunshot wounds, and they served a search warrant in reference to a person of interest in the case.

The investigation is ongoing.
