Working dogs take time out for eye exams

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WTXF)  Some working dogs got some special treatment on Saturday.
Penn Vet Working Dog Center offered free eye examinations for dogs in training. Vet experts were checking for any problems like early cataracts, cloudy corneas, squinting, retinal disease, etc.
"We're trying to get these dogs screened for things that may go undected that would effect their ability to work in the future," said Dr. Brady Beale with Penn Vet Working Dog Center
The eye exams were part of a National Service Dog Eye Exam Event.  More than 7,800 dogs were registered across the U.S., Canda and Puerto Rico to take part in this program.
