School Early Dismissals:
ALERT: Early Dismissal for Middle School Students on Thursday and Friday
Due to the record-setting excessive heat expected this week and predicted heat index, all middle school students at Southwest Middle School, Southern Middle School, Northwest Middle School and Northeast Middle School will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. We are dismissing middle school students early because of a lack of building-wide air conditioning systems at those specific buildings. Lunch will be served, and school buses will be available for our bussed students. All other Reading School District schools will operate on a regular schedule.
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Trenton's public school district says staff and students will be dismissed early every day this week due to expected high temperatures and humidity. The district says students in elementary schools and the Stokes Early Childhood Center will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Middle schools will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. and high schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m.

WINTER SKIN CARE.
Under the sea: using sea salt as a natural exfoliator to create a scrub that removes bacteria and dead skin cells
In the Kitchen: Olive Oil acts as a moisturizer- spread onto patches of dry skin
Go Green: Aloe Vera plants give your skin a protective layer to prevent flaking and irritation-peel off the leaves and use the gel inside
Tropical treatment: coconut oil is a must to treat red, blotchy skin- it is a natural anti-inflammatory that can be applied directly on the blotches and absorbed through the skin

Berlin Police Department
Berlin Police received a call for a theft of clothing at the Maytag Laundromat. An individual decided to steal a family's entire clothing collection which was being washed, according to police. Included in the clothing were all of the clothes belonging to the victim's two small children. Today, Officer Palma met with the female who we vowed to help. He also presented the female with a gift card to help her get started in making up for the lost items using his own money! We are hoping the public can help too. If anyone has any extra items (particularly clothing) which could be donated, we ask you please bring them to Berlin Police Department at 59 S. White Horse Pike.
The family's sizes are the following:
5 year old girl: Size 5 Children's Clothing, size 10 shoe.
8 year old boy: Size Large Children's Clothing, size 4.5 shoe.
Also taken were clothes from the mother, however she was only interested in our generosity to help her children; if we could show her support as well, we would greatly appreciate it.
Items can be dropped off at all hours inside of the police department in the designated box.

teaspoons of salt to the water once it boils. Then add the pasta.
Cook for 8 to 10 minutes. You to make sure the pasta is not over
cooked. Cook until tender with a little bite to it. Drain in a
strainer and place back in the pot. Add the evaporated milk, cheese,
1 egg and little more salt and pepper. On medium to low heat stir

Place in the pan once the oil is heated to about 350 degrees. It is

Say Grace Tip: Chicken is very chatty and loud when it mingles in the
oil. When the chicken is ready to go....it gets very sleepy and
quiet. Your chicken will just stop talking. Take it out when its

on medium heat and add the water to your cornstarch to create a slurry
(water base mixture). once the slurry is combined with your bouillon
mixture it will begin to thicken. Stir to keep from getting lumps in
Set your sprinkles aside for assembly.
Take your mac and cheese out the freezer and grab your cupcake pans.
Spray the pans with Pam or cooking spray. Use a small spoon and scoop
a small portion of mac and cheese out. Place in the center of the
cupcake pan and then pour the cornbread mixture on top. Do this for
each cupcake. In your preheated oven at 350 degrees bake for 30
minutes. Remove from the oven and press lightly on the top of your
cupcakes for firmness. If they start to sink place them back in for a
few minutes and set aside.
In a ziploc bag snip the tip of a corner off and place mashed potato
frosting in the bag. Pipe (or squeeze) mashed potatoes on the
cupcake. Take your Fried Chicken Sprinkles and place on the top of
your cupcake. Drizzle lightly and for garnish and beauty take a small
leaf of parsley. Voila Your Savory All In Cupcake is ready for the
crowd. And boy will they be wowed! Enjoy.

Beef & Bark Event Information
When: Saturday October 10, 2015 6pm-10pm
Where: South Philly Vikings Nyb
1815 S 11th Street
Alpha Bravo Canine would like to invite you to the 1st annual Beef & Bark Event. This family friendly event will feature an amazing Italian meal, wine and beer. Alpha Bravo Canine is raising funds to train service dogs for our military veterans suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). We hope you would come out and meet the team behind this amazing organization. The Team will be onsite at this event for a personal interview.
Alpha Bravo Canine’s goal is to help brave warriors that fought for our country’s freedom by giving back to them. 22 Veterans commit suicide on a daily basis. Being able to offer these Veterans a trained service dog free of charge would make a huge difference in their lives. Training a service dog can take up to 2 years and costs approximately $20,000 per dog. Those costs include the purchase of the dog, food, medical needs, dog care expense, supplies and training. This fundraiser will help defer some of the cost for their first dog purchase.
Alpha Bravo Canine is a Non-Profit 501 (c) 3 Organization established in 2015. This Mother & Son team decided to take on this mission to help and make a difference for other Veterans suffering from the same symptoms as the Founder’s son was. Kevin was diagnosed with PTSD/TBI after his first deployment. Despite the diagnosis he was deployed again less than a year later, which amplified his symptoms. The founder of Alpha Bravo Canine, Jennifer Green felt she could use her Professional skills as a Certified Dog trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) AND an AKC CGC Evaluator to create and build a wonderful program that would help Veterans suffering from the same symptoms as her son. Along with Jennifer’s professional skills and knowledge, she also has an amazing love and respect for animals as well as for the Military.
