Packers visit Eagles, both teams need win for playoff hopes

- We hope the Eagles enjoyed their long Thanksgiving weekend and are ready for some football!

The Philadelphia Eagles (6-5) host the Green Bay Packers (4-6) on Monday night.

There’s an unusual connection: Eagles’ head coach Doug Pederson played backup quarterback to the Packers’ Brett Favre. Then, in 2005, Aaron Rodgers took Pederson's old job and locker, and became the Packers’ No. 1 quarterback, three years later. He still holds that job today.

As for Monday’s game, both teams need a win to maintain playoff hopes. The Packers have lost four straight games, while the Eagles are 2-5 since a 3-0 start.

One encouraging point: The Eagles have been perfect at home, going 4-0 and outscoring opponents 108-38. The Packers are 1-4 on the road.

FOX 29’s Bob Kelly reports parking lots at the Linc open five hours before the game, but most lots are privately owned and independent.
