Eagles Knock Off Saints 39-17 for Second Win

The Philadelphia Eagles picked up their second win of the season Sunday following a strong defensive effort against the New Orleans Saints.

The Eagles defense came up with 4 turnovers, with all but one coming at the expense of Saint's star quarterback Drew Brees.

Demarco Murray put on his best performance in midnight green, coming up with over 83 yards on 20 carries with a touchdown. Running back Ryan Matthews added another 73 yards on the ground and a store of his own.

Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns, despite throwing two interceptions early on.

Receiver Josh Huff and Tight End Bret Celek were on the receiving end of Bradford's two touchdown strikes.

On defense, Fletcher Cox led the team with six solo tackles and three sacks. Safety Walter Thurmond came up with a late game interception, while Cox, Rookie Linebacker Jordan Hicks and Linebacker Demeco Ryans all came up with fumble recoveries.
