Eagles Make It Official: Pederson is Coach

PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - The Eagles have officially named Doug Pederson their head coach, and will introduce him at a news conference Tuesday at 2 p.m., the team announced.

The new coach arrived in town Monday.

Pederson was reported last week as the Eagles' choice, but could not be introduced until after his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was eliminated from playoff contention. The Chiefs lost to the New England Patriots Saturday.

The incoming coach is a former backup quarterback and assistant coach for the Eagles who spent the last three years under former Eagles coach Andy Reid in Kansas City.
