Sredenschek: Memo to Eagles' Sam Bradford

Lost in the residue of this weekend's draft was the reaction of a current star.

The Tennessee Titans are a team in transition, building around 2nd year quarterback Marcus Mariota. In this year's draft, they selected Heisman trophy winner Derrick Henry out of Alabama, a running back with tremendous ability. It's the same Titans team that traded for former Eagle Demarco Murray in the off-season. This creates a roster log jam, right?

Apparently not. Titans coach Mike Mularkey reached out to Murray after drafting Henry. The reaction from Murray was very anti-Sam Bradford. According to the Tennessean, "His comment was, first of all he loved the pick," Mularkey said. "He said he's going to make me better and I am going to do the same for him. I am going to do whatever I can to make him a great player."

Wow, Sam Bradford. A guy that will help the team. A guy who will "make me better." A guy who will make the Titans better. Betcha Demarco is heading to off-season workouts in Tennessee.

I will grant you that every team needs 2 running backs...championship teams will split up time. Only 1 quarterback at a time, please. But the reaction from Murray was so strikingly different than Bradford's that it's worth noting. Mature. Professional.

In the music city of Nashville, it was Demarco Murray was a symphony to the ears of Titans fans. In Philadelphia, Sam Bradford is becoming an out-of-tune song.
