CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WTXF/AP) - A pro-wrestler's body slam is one way end an attempted stick-up.
Police say former WWE pro wrestler Shad Gaspard, 35, was at the drink cooler at a convenience store on Saturday night.
That’s when the suspect asked Gaspard to buy him a beer.
When Gaspard said no, the suspect showed him a gun.
Store surveillance video near Fort Lauderdale shows Gaspard disarming the would-be bandit.
According to the store clerk, Gaspard quickly shoved the suspect against a cooler door and reached for his gun, before it fell to the floor.
Later, he realized it was only a BB gun.
The 6-foot-7, 300-pound former wrestler then "escorted" the man outside, slammed him to the ground and held him until police arrived.
The Miami Herald reports Jason Felix is now charged with robbery.
Gaspard wrestled for the WWE from 2005 to 2010.
