The Q Audience Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in being part of the live studio audience for THE Q!

Please review the following guidelines before the show so you’ll know what to expect as an audience member.

DRESS TO IMPRESS!

Our audience members are shown on camera throughout the show.  Please follow the guidelines below to ensure that The Q audience is the best on television!

We encourage neat, casual and colorful outfits.  Solid, bright colors photograph best. 

We discourage sweat suits, torn or stained shirts/pants/jeans.  Please DO NOT wear solid white, black or elaborate patterns, as they do not photograph well on television.

Absolutely no hats, sunglasses, costumes, casual tank tops or clothing promoting brand names or containing offensive or otherwise inappropriate logos or writing will be permitted on audience members while recording the show.

RESTRICTIONS

All audience members must be 16 years of age or older. Audience members under 18 years of age must be accompanied by and adult. A valid photo ID is required.

STUDIO POLICY

Cell phones are encouraged for social media but must be silenced during the live show recording.  Other recording devices, digital equipment and backpacks are not permitted.

No food or beverages are permitted.  

Weapons of any kind are not permitted inside the building.  All audience members will go through a security screening, including a metal detector search, prior to entering the FOX 29 building.  All bags will be screened. 

DISCLAIMER

Please do not bring any valuables with you to the station.  There is no secure storage area available.  WTXF-FOX 29 cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items. 

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE

No one will be admitted inside the building before 9:45AM.  Seating is NOT determined by check-in time or order, so arriving before 9:30AM is discouraged. 

9:30 - 9:45AM:  Arrive at FOX 29.

9:45 - 10:15AM:  Check in at the Guest Q to show I.D. and go through security. 

Guests arriving AFTER 10:15am WILL NOT BE permitted to be in the studio audience.

10:15AM:  The Q staff will escort small groups to the studio.

10:15 - 10:45AM:   The Q audience coordinators will arrange audience seating, warm you up and give you a few tips on being a great audience member. 

11 to 11:30AM:  Get ready for fun!  Live recording of “The Q” with Quincy Harris!  

11:30AM to 12noon:  Meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with Quincy Harris, producer South Philly Meredith and musical director Malc Geez.

12noon:  The Q airs on FOX 29.  SET YOUR DVR to record the show. 

OTHER TIPS:

Because we are located in the heart of historic Old City Philadelphia, you may want to consider spending your day touring the local sites.

“The Q” is very social!  BEFORE THE SHOW, be sure to follow “The Q” on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  If any members of your group post their photos to any social media accounts, please TAG @theqonfox and use the hashtag #theqonfox and we may re-post them on our social media accounts.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

There is no onsite parking at the FOX 29 studio.  There are several paid public parking lots nearby:  

·         The Bourse Garage (entrance on 4th street between Market and Chestnut)

·         Independence Park parking (entrance on 6th Street between Race and Market)  

·         E-Z Park (entrance on 3rd Street north of Market Street)

·         Autopark (entrance on 2nd Street south of Market Street)

SEPTA’s Market Frankfort El (Blue) Line stops one block west of the WTXF Studio at 5th and Market Streets.

SEPTA Bus routes 5,9,17,21,33,38,42,44,48 and 57 all pass within two blocks of the WTXF Studio.

SEPTA Regional Rail lines all pass through Jefferson Station at 11th and Market Streets.
