A 15-year-old patient at Hospice Austin had planned on going to see Florence + The Machine's concert at Austin360 Amphitheater but couldn't due to her health. But she ended up not missing out after all when the group heard her story and brought the concert to the teen.

According to a Facebook post, Hospice Austin's Christopher House Nurse Practitioner Christie Kremer says that the teen was all set to go to the concert on May 19 but experienced several set backs during the week leading up to the show. Kremer says her "heart broke" when she had to tell the teen that attending the concert wouldn't be possible.

But Kremer says they didn't give up on making the teen's dream come true. Through a team effort by the Christopher House and Hospice Austin staff, they made contact with lead singer Florence Welch.

Kremer says everyone was nervous about if Welch was really going to show up. The patient's room was filled with her friends and family and it soon was filled with music, tears and singing when Welch and guitarist Rob Ackroyd arrived.
