6 Mourning Cops Got the Perfect Pick-Me-Up from a 5-Year-Old at McDonald's

- Friday was a somber day for police officers in the state of Kentucky, as they laid to rest State Police trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder, who was shot to death during a traffic stop.

The outpouring for Ponder was so large that the procession from the church to the cemetery took three hours. Officers from across the country, including California and Alaska, made the journey to Elizabethtown, Kentucky for the services.

Afterwards, six of those officers - five Kentucky State troopers and one from the Ohio Highway Patrol - decided to grab a bite to eat at a nearby McDonald's.

Seeing the group of officers and knowing about the slain policeman, five-year-old Isabella Gregory decided to try to put a smile on their faces.
