Catholic Students Hold Mass on PA Turnpike during Storm

PHILADELPHIA, PA (WTXF) - A prayer from a group of Catholic school students is now being heard around the world.

A photo shows students from Dowling Catholic School stuck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike meeting with other kids on the bus from Missouri.

The buses were stuck for several hours so they decided to take matters into their own hands.

The group had a priest and created a snow alter for a mass in the middle of the stand still.

The photo has been shared on Facebook more than 1400 times.

A message on the school's page says, "Students are safe with plenty of food, water and gasoline. Continued prayers for safe travels!"
