Good Samaritan stops his car in the middle of a busy road to help an elderly pedestrian

Many drivers pass by this man every day and you don't think twice, but when he fell on hard times Tuesday one person was there in his time of need.

Barry Shaw said, "The gentleman there was just in the point of falling down on the ground, he just went over. So I'm like, 'oh my goodness.'"

A dash camera recording the whole thing.

"As soon as I got in the car I put it on its recording."

Barry Shaw was heading south on Le June and as he approached the intersection of southwest 8th Street, he saw the man on his back in the middle of the road. And to make matters worse cars just swerving around him.

"My first reaction was why isn't anyone stopping, not just to help him but because there's an old man lying in the road."

You can see Shaw gets out to help and flags a couple drivers down to lift the man up to the other side safely. Thankfully he wasn't hurt. Shaw says he's thankful it wasn't worse.

"He could've easily got run over, you know very easily. I ask for help from God everyday so when there's an opportunity to help someone else you've got to take it."
