NJ State Trooper pulls drowning deer from swimming pool

(FOX NEWS)- A New Jersey state trooper rescued a deer drowning in a swimming pool at a home in Harmony Township, N.J.

Trooper Dwayne Phillips was dispatched to the residence Friday afternoon after a worker discovered the buck struggling in the pool.

Phillips jumped into action, grabbing the deer by its rack and pulling it from the water.

The exhausted animal remained on the ground for some time until it was able to stand up on its own and eventually run off.
